Marc Thompson

Marc Thompson serves as Executive Vice President of ITPG where he oversees the $10 million education and training business for ITPG’s largest customer, (ISC)², the global non-profit leader in educating and certifying information security professionals. He joined ITPG in 2001, bringing with him more than 14 years of executive level sales and marketing experience, including several years focused in the information technology training arena.

Prior to joining ITPG, Thompson held senior management roles at technology companies such as TimeBridge Technologies and Delta Microsystems. He also served as Founding Executive of Potomac College and created two technology radio shows: “Tech-Talk” on ABC Radio and “The Computer Tutor” on CBS Radio.

As Vice President of Business Development at TimeBridge Technologies, Thompson generated more than $15 million in sales in 2000, which attracted the attention of technology giant Dimension Data, which purchased TimeBridge after presenting an unsolicited $140 million offer.

Preceding his employment at TimeBridge, Thompson served as Executive Vice President at Delta Microsystems, where he was responsible for product development, marketing and sales strategy. In two years, he grew the company’s annual revenues from $200,000 to more than $3.4 million dollars by selling IT certification training.

Thompson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgetown University.
